Gingerbread Cookies For Christmas

During Christmas time, family and friends Get together to celebrate this beautiful season. This is the time of the year when your mother and grandma decide to bake those delicious cookies for the kids and also grown up, besides for kids get really fun when they get ask to help with the cookie decorations. Here is a recipe to make some gingerbread cookies.

Ingredients

1 (3.5 ounces) package cook and serve butterscotch pudding mix
½ Cup of butter
½ Cup packed brown sugar
1 Egg
1 ½ Cups of all purpose flour
½ Teaspoon of baking soda
1 ½ Teaspoon of ground ginger
1 Teaspoon of ground cinnamon

Directions

1st . In a medium bowl, cream together the dry butterscotch pudding mix, butter, and brown sugar until smooth. Stir in the egg and combine the flour, baking soda, ginger, and cinnamon and stir into the pudding mix, then cover and let the dough chill until is firm. This will take about 1 hour.

2nd. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C), then grease baking sheets. On a floured board, roll dough out to about 1/8 inch thickness, and cut the cookies in to the shapes you wish to have with a cookie cutter. Place cookies 2 inches apart on the prepared baking sheets.

3rd. Baked for 10 to 20 minutes in the preheated oven, until cookies are golden at the edges. Make sure you let them cool on wire racks.
